Mr. Xiong

Hello,

My name is Koua Xiong but I go by Mr. Xiong. This is my 5th year teaching at Humboldt. I am licenced in ELL and currently teaching Science courses to our Level 1/1.5 students and co-teaching Math for our level 2 students. I received my BA in Sociology and minor in Asian American Studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and I received my MA from the University of St Thomas.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outside! I am currently the head coach for Humboldt's girl's tennis and an assistant for Badminton. I play a variety of sports that include tennis, badminton, football, and recently disc golf. I also enjoy playing boardgames and strategy games with friends and families too.

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and that's where I spent most of my life, but I now currently reside in Blaine by the National Sports Center.

I love it here at Humboldt. I enjoy the diversity in our students, teaching staff and administration. We have a very inclusive culture here and all are always welcome!
