Qualifications: B.S. in Mathematics M.A. in Educational Leadership National Board Certified Teacher

Ms. Scheuerlein

I began teaching math at Humboldt in 2010. In 2014, I started teaching Math 6 and Pre-Algebra.

Why do I teach?

Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to be a teacher. At UND, I was given a letter from the Mathematics Department telling me I should consider a Major or Minor in Math. It was decided. I would become a math teacher! After graduation from UND(2003), I taught in Minneapolis, Lino Lakes, and Apple Valley. I also spent some time on the East coast teaching Outdoor Education, and a few years as a Youth Director at a local Synagogue. I found teaching math and being in a classroom is my passion. One thing I am always excited about is to help my students learn about how their brain develops and how it relates to learning math.

What do I do when I am not teaching?

I spend time with my family. Together we enjoy swimming, board games, video games, movies, baking/cooking, reading books, camping, and travelling. I also play and teach American Mah Jongg.

In 2023, I became a National Board Certified Teacher!
