Hello,
I'm Koua Xiong. I've lived in the Twin Cities my whole life but grew up on the Minneapolis side of town. I graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in 2009, then graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013. I later attended the University of St. Thomas to obtain my MA in education.
I started working for SPPS in 2014 as a teaching assistant at Nokomis Elementary (North campus) and later at Humboldt in 2017 as an EL Teacher. Over the last 8 years I've taught a variety of language academy courses for both middle school and high school, as well as co-taught a handful of math and science courses.
In addition to teaching I also coach the boy's and girl's tennis team. This will be my 9th season coaching and 7th season as head coach.
