Volunteer at Humboldt

Volunteers support our classes and contribute to a nurturing learning environment. There are formal and informal ways to exchange ideas, connect with others, support our building, and help strengthen our Hawk community.

Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Background Check BEFORE they begin their volunteer service with SPPS. Volunteer background checks must be renewed on an annual basis.

Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) has established this process for the following reasons:

  1. The District has a responsibility to protect students and staff from unnecessary risks.
  2. The District has a responsibility to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students.
  3. The District has a need to protect the reputation of the institution as a body charged with the care of children.

All volunteer background checks are initiated by the Humboldt and will be processed through MRI/Trusted Employees. The results will be reported to Humboldt and directed to the appropriate department.

Get Involved!

  1. Contact: Call or email Humboldt High School directly to express your interest in volunteering.
  2. Check your email: You will receive an email with a direct link to the background check for completion and submitting payment.
  3. Wait for confirmation: Once the background check is returned, HR will notify the school clerk, who will notify the Home/School Liaison.

For more information, please contact the Humboldt Home/School Liaison, Cassandra Redeagle at cassandra.redeagle@spps.org for more information.
