Nurse Monet
Hello, my name is Monet Goudreault, MSN, RN, LSN. I am the Licensed School Nurse at Humboldt. I joined Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) in March 2023. I graduated from St. Catherine University with my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Prior to working as a School Nurse I was a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
My role as the School Nurse: School Nurses promote student health and wellness, in order to enhance learning. My role is to collaborate with other school staff to manage the health care needs of student during the school day. I also provide acute care for illnesses and injuries, assist students in developing skills to manage their health, refer students to health care providers for further care, connect families with needed health resources, and collaborate with public health authorities/partners to promote population health.
I am passionate about health and education—students cannot learn if they aren’t physically or mentally well. My goal is to help young people learn about their bodies, advocate for their health needs, and empower them to make healthy choices.
My hobbies include gardening, traveling, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and listening to audiobooks.
I am very excited to be at Humboldt. This is a great community, and I look froward to partnering with you and your student(s)! The easiest way to reach me is by email at monet.goudreault@spps.org
