My name is Matt Osborne and this is the start of my fifth year at Humboldt.  I teach ELL American Government and AVID 11.  I am also the AVID co-coordinator.

In the fall I coach the boys' soccer team and train for marathons.  
River Clean Up

AVID 11
In AVID 11 it is my goal to have all students take the ACT test, improve their Cornell notes, and to take my class on two college visits.AVID is a nationally recognized college-preparatory program aimed atstudents in the academic middle (B and C students). The purpose of thisprogram is to provide students with both the tools and support theyneed with more challenging coursework to help them develop the skillsnecessary to be prepared to enter any four-year college or universityafter high school.
 
Economics
Economics studies how people and nations make decisions on utilizing resources.
